PayPal is a must for all of those who wish to
make money online. But for Indian users its a bit difficult to get their PayPal account verified because most of them are not having(Willing to have) credit card. But most of them use the Virtual Credit Card’s that are available on the net for around $7-$10. Most of them don't know that they can verify their PayPal account using Debit Cards issued by SBI(State Bank Of India). In this post I’m going to explain how you can verify your PayPal account by using SBI debit card.
1. Open an Account : In order to get the debit card from SBI you need to have an account in SBI. So i would suggest you to open if you don't have one already. You can open an account with just Rs500.You will receive a debit card mailed to your address after one week of opening your account.
2. Applying for an International Debit Card : After getting your debit card get your secret pin in the branch where you had opened your account. Then Go to bank and request the employee in charge of cards dept that you need YUVA CARD which is an international debit card. Don't worry if they look like clueless to you when you ask that card but don't worry explain them in detail your problem. After convincing them fill in the application which they give to you & write YUVA CARD on top of it. Else Download the application fill it & give it to them. You can get the card from 7-10 days to your home.
3. Adding Your Bank Account to PayPal : open your PayPal account and go to add bank account section and enter your Name(name as in your account ,Account Number, branch IFSC code .The name on your bank account name and PayPal name should be same that's mandatory for withdrawing funds, then you will receive a message saying “Your bank account have been successfully added” .
For IFSC Codes of any bank branch in India, visit
this page on the RBI website and click on List of NEFT enabled bank branches (Bank wise). Select your bank and then find your branch’s IFSC code. Be sure that you are only seeing at IFSC code and not the MICR code.
4. Opening an Online SBI account (Not Necessary / Optional) : Its your wish then open an online account .within one week you will receive your user id and again after one more week you will receive your password, then go to
www.onlinesbi.com and login,if you are able to login then you are done. This is useful for viewing your account transactions.
5. ADDING YOUR YUVA DEBIT CARD to Your PAYPAL : Click on add debit or credit card &enter your card number i.e. three digit CW number which is present at the back side of your card after your card number Once after entering this you will be debited $1.95,that means 95-100rs will be deducted from your bank account (You will get that amount back after your account is verified),PayPal says that to enter the expuse code by seeing the transaction details of your account Here comes the problem if you don't have an online account you will not able to see the transaction details, don't worry you can contact the branch manager for your transaction details.
6. FINDING YOUR EXPUSE CODE : You can find your expuse code ,after three days from the date when PayPal has charged you $1.95 remember only on business days not holidays. Now assuming that you have added your card in PayPal and three days had passed, now go to branch manager and request them that you need your transaction details on specific date,.Don’t get panicked if he is not able to give them.
Just Go to
http://paypal.statebank.org.in/ and give your account number and the date you were charged , that site admin is customer representative who will give you the expuse code.
7.Verifying PayPal account : Now copy that expuse code and paste it in PayPal by clicking on unverified link which is present in your account overview, finally you will get this message. “Your account is verified”.
